Dog Fighting Cancer Holds On Until Soldier Owner Returns Home

This is so ahmayzing and sad at the same time.

Kermie, an 11-year-old dog, was diagnosed with cancer only a month after her owner Eric Ralston was sent out on an 8-month military deployment.

She was only given 2-3 months to live.

Miraculously, Kermie survived way longer than the vets had ever thought she would.

Just as Eric's return home neared… his deployment was extended indefinitely.

His family knew Kermie wouldn't make it much longer…

Except for the fact that she DID!!

She survived all the way until she could be reunited with her papa!!

Look at how excited she is!! She even started doing better after he got home, eating and drinking again without any struggle.

Check out the video (above) to see a heartwarming reunion!!

i've gotta nitpick. that's a SAILOR, not a SOLIDER. see the patch on his sleeve? that's a US NAVY patch. i'm glad he got to see his dog again AND that's she's doing better. i wonder if his leaving and her getting sick just broke her heart and she's better bc he's home. animals have feelings, too!

That is not a soldier :)
I'm sorry to get all uppity about it but there's a huge difference between a soldier, marine, sailor and airman. Otherwise AMAZING story!
