Congrats to first time Dad Gnasher at Drusillas Park in the UK!
Oh, Gnasher is a beaver by the way! We figured the name might be a dead giveaway.
The North American Beaver had two babies with his lover Gnawer. They were born on June 5th, just in time for Father's Day.
Head zoo keeper at Drusillas Park said:
"It's always difficult to know how an animal will cope with becoming a parent for the first time but in Gnasher's case there really was no need to worry. From the moment the kits were born he has protected and cared for them and even cut the umbilical cord with his teeth. He has proven himself to be a fantastic dad and deserves to be thoroughly spoilt this Fathers Day."
The proud papa has barely left his babies' sides!
The little cuties are already growing, with their tiny webbed feet, little flat tails and tiny teeth starting to develop.
So CUTE! If you live near the zoo, go check out those cutie baby beavers!
