A poor doggy was left all alone in a hot car on a 90º day!
Witnesses spotted the pup yelping and barking for help in the back of a minivan in Exmouth, Devon, England.
The front windows were only barely cracked and there was no water.
The dog was freaking out so much it ended up setting off the car's alarm!!
A police officer was called to the scene and smashed out the back window.
People at the scene brought wet towels to the dog and wrapped him in them to cool him down.
As soon as they got the pup out of the car, he apparently "went nuts" and freaked out, but eventually calmed down.
A witness said:
"The dog was clearly distressed and hard to handle. They put wet towels on it before it was calm enough to push through the window. It was clearly traumatized and went out of control. It was shocking. A crowd of around 40 people had formed to watch what was happening. We all applauded when the dog was freed. Clearly people were very concerned about the dog but were also very angry."
We're so glad those people were there to take action and save the doggy's life.
The owner eventually returned to the scene around the same time the RSPCA (the UK version of the ASPCA) was being notified.
Hopefully justice will be served so that this never happens again!
