So Sad! 100 Pound Python Killed Two Boys After Escaping A Pet Store!

This is sad beyond our comprehension!

Two Canadian young brothers, ages 5 and 7, were strangled to death by a 100 pound python that had escaped from an exotic pet store that was located downstairs.

The snake apparently was able to leave its enclosure by going through a ventilation system and then fell through a ceiling and landed on the boys who were sleeping directly underneath them.

The owner of the pet store in Campbellton, New Brunswick didn't even realize what had happened until he entered his living room, where the two boys were, and discovered the "horrifying scene."

The boys were friends of the store owner's own son who thankfully was sleeping in another room and was unharmed.

A snake expert believes the python did not strangle the boys out of malicious intent but rather because the snake was trying to hold on to something.

Here's what the expert said:

"A snake that size was just trying to hold on securely enough to make sure he felt like he wasn't falling or going anywhere; he has enough muscle power to cut off circulation."

Whatever the reason - this is devastating news.

Our hearts go out to the boys' friends and family during this extremely difficult period in their lives.

It didn't escape the pet store. Now they are saying the python was actually kept in the apartment as the boys were sleeping in.

UGH. HOW DISGUSTING. I HATE SNAKES SO MUCH, THEY ARE SO UGLY AND CREEPY. THEY SHOULD NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT BE SOLD IN PET STORES OR AVAILABLE TO ANYONE! This is what you disgusting pig "snake lovers" get. You nasty disgusting filthy losers. Two innocent children DEAD because you mother f/uckers are so obsessed with exotic creatures, reptiles and things that DO NOT BELONG TO HUMANS.

Something seems wrong about this story.

Pythons don't kill for sport, they kill to eat- yet it's supposed to have killed two people and ate neither.

Also, wouldn't the sound of the first kid struggling wake up the second so it could get away?

    Re: Mark
Untrue: The petstore was located UNDER the apartment. It escaped it's enclosed glass cage through a small hole, crept through the ventilation system and into the room where the boys slept.

I saw this story on the news and I agree that there is definitely 'something" missing from this story. How can a snake possibly be a pet?…I don't get it and now two children are dead.

From what I understand, pythons squeeze when there is movement and possibly if this thing fell on one child (it's 100 lbs after all and 14 feet long) and the child moved to get away, it started squeezing. Can't explain the other child though. Also, I hear snakes are only super dangerous if hungry or shedding their skin which causes a covering over the eye and they become skittish. Either way - I don't think a 100 -lb python belongs anywhere but the jungle.

I am from Campbellton New Brunswick and the guy had this python for over 10 years. Its an accident. The snake was indeed in the pet store, below the guys appartment and somehow it escaped. The snake was euthanised. You guys have no idea how this story has shook our small town.

    the fuck.

Re: e – You are wrong! The snake was kep in the apartment without a permit, not in the pet store below

Re: Vanessa – you would think being a resident of the town, you might know the proper facts. The snake was kept as a pet in the apartment, with no provincial permit for having it. Stupid ass people! I don't know why they had to kill it either? it was doing what a snake does. Peoples fault, not snake!

Re: stink – that is because you are very uneducated about snakes.

the picture above is in fact a blood python not an african rock python and the little boys were playing with farm animals that day, so the scent was on the boys and it was just a case of mistaken identity. Ask the guy who owned the snake..when was the last time they fed it? was the food proper size?

Why the FUCK do people want FUCKING huge snakes like that as a PET???? dick too small????

    Re: Rykus

Vanessa is correct in her facts of the story. The snake was in the pet store below the apartment, and everything was in order.

  16. 16

you really butchered this story lol

Re: juicee_j – But there was no permit for it so in that case not everything was in order.
