Congrats to Seattle's Woodland Park Zo! They've just welcomed a brand new baby Rothschild's Giraffe!!
The cutie calf was born on August 6th to first time mama Olivia and the little boy was born measuring 5-and-a-half feet tall!
That's taller than lots of people! And he's just a baby!
Woodland Park Zoo's curator said:
"The first 24 to 72 hours are critical for giraffe calves. So far, mother and calf are bonding and nursing sessions appear to be normal. We will continue to keep a close eye on the new family over the next several weeks."
We hope this little baby is nothing but healthy!
His parents were paired by the Giraffe Species Survival Plan, who are all about genetic diversity and demographic stability so this little dude is gonna be a perfect little giraffe, just you wait!
Check out the video (above) to see the cutie being born and just being so adorbz!!
