Ian Somerhalder adopted a cute new rescue dog!!

We were a little worried when Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev split!

A break-up is never easy!

Luckily, Ian has found himself a new girl!!

He posted a pic (above) to instagram and said:

"My new girl. Rescued from traffic near the Vampire Diaries stages just a few hours ago-so smart, so beautiful&charming-all a man could ask for in a girl-So happy together. Her name is Nietzsche… Photo by the one and only @thejram"

Awww! What a sweetheart!

So ahmayzing that she was rescued so close to set!

It's like they were meant to find each other.

So cute! Take good care of that puppy dog, Ian!

any person that Buys ( yes buys you arent adopting shit) from a rescue is a real asshole. Rescues only " rescue" highly adoptable and valuable dogs from shelters, then triple the price. This puts for breeders in business and makes the animal business very profitable. All these nonprofit rescues Make tons of money. Its a huge scam that leads to a cycle of abuse. The government must stop all RESCUES form abusing animals.

Re: MVPnis – Ian Somerhalder rescued the dog…from traffic.
Nice dog. He probably belongs to someone but jumped a fence.

Re: MVPnis – You don't know what you're talking about. I volunteer for an animal rescue and the woman that runs the rescue has gone into great personal debt helping these animals. We are constantly rescuing dogs and cats who were hours away from being put down at the 'Humane' Society. We are a no kill rescue. You are just ignorant … Or maybe rescues in the States are run entirely differently than ones in Canada. I doubt it. You couldn't be more wrong.

Re: MVPnis – if rescues only adopt highly valuable and adoptable pets, please tell me why our rescue has taken on dogs that have been hit by cars and need thousands of dollars in surgery and treatment BEFORE they are even ready to be adopted? We rescued a dog from an Indian Reserve who had been hit by a car and left for months without care. How is that highly adoptable??? We do it solely because we love these creatures. Please stop spewing ignorance.

Re: Lis – Nope, it's the same in Canada. My two rescues came from a no-kill shelter in central Alberta when I was working there.

does anyone else think that this dog actually belongs to someone and maybe just got out?? i think waiting only a few hours before naming it and decided to keep it isn't right. i hope it gets taken to a vet to check for a microchop/tattoo at least
