Fire crews at Langwarrin in Melbourne, Australia got to save a tiny life recently.
Here's the story:
A koala was hit by a car and took refuge in a tree.
When they went to rescue the little critter...
River Safari, part of Wildlife Reserve Singapore, is now the proud home of Asia's very first Giant Otter baby!
The first one born in the country at least.
Giant Otters are one of the most endangered otters in the world so this little baby is a tiny miracle.
The male pup weighs about 3.5-pounds and is around 2-feet-long.
That doesn't sound too "giant." Though he will eventually grow to around 75-pounds and be about 6-feet-long!
"With increasing threats such as habitat destruction and poaching, captive breeding programs play a pivotal role in conserving threatened species for our future generations."
So hopefully this little guy is just one of many otters to come!!
Let's hope this cutie can grow big and strong and help make tons of babies!
