We previously mentioned that some Hunger Games fans were pretty upset when Primrose's cat Buttercup didn't match her description in the book.
When diehard fans of the books saw the first movie and noticed Prim's cat was black instead of "muddy yellow" they were pissed. But, thankfully, someone got the cat recast so she'd more resemble the one described in the book.
Turns out, that person was none other than the series' author Suzanne Collins (and producer Nina Jacobsen)!
Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence said:
"They thought the cat from the first movie was not the way he was described in the book. And that had annoyed a bunch of fans, and things like that. So I was happy to get one that felt like the Buttercup of the book."
Fans everywhere can now rejoice that the movie is finally properly
Way to go, Suzanne!!
