Mom Gets The Surprise Of Her Life When She Takes Surfing Pic Of Her Son! A Photobombing Shark!

A shark photobombed a little kid in his mom's beach photo!

Wow! This must've been so scary when she saw the picture!

June Emerson took her 12-year-old son Quinn and friend of his to Manhattan beach in sunny SoCal for some surfing fun timez.

Although, things went from fun to terrifying in a split second when she snapped a photo of her son playing in the ocean with his friend and didn't notice until after that there was a potential tragedy only a few feet behind her child. Can you see that crazy scary looking shark hiding in the waves (above)??

She said:

"It was quite a shock to see. Many local surfers and lifeguards have seen this and believe it to be a shark. Of course, I told my kids it was dolphin, as we live at the beach and are in the waters here almost daily."

Ha! We're sure your lies will keep them warm at night but will they keep the sharks at bay??

We wonder if this mom will be letting her kids back in the ocean anytime soon…

We're gonna guess she'll exchange that camera for a harpoon and she'll be on guard duty instead of playing paparazzo.

Glad this shark story has a happy ending!

Why did she lie about it to her kids, though? 12 years seems like a perfectly normal age to know there are sharks out there.

probably so the kids aren't afraid of going back to the beach they frequently visit. if i were 12, i'd be terrified to go back into the water knowing i've been a few feet from a shark. not to mention they weren't too far from the shore as you can see in the photo and the fact that the shark was so close to them that close to the shore is terrifying.

Sharks swim close to people more often then you think. Sharks aren't man hunters, just because there is a shark 10 ft from you does not mean there will be a shark attack. Stop playing into the Jaws idea of sharks.

its the ocean, there are sharks in the water, duh. we live on Lake Michigan the lake has a serious under current. knowledge is power. we've been telling our kids about rip currents since they've been old enough to get in the water. you gotta watch the flags on Lake Michigan or you won't live long.
