Locals Rushing To Rescue Sochi's Stray Dogs Before The Gov't MURDERS Them!

| Filed under: Sad SadOlympicsSnow SportsDogRescue

Sochi locals are rushing to rescue as many stray dogs as possible before the government murders them!

It seems like things in Sochi just keep getting worse!!

We've all heard the horrors about the hotel rooms and how journalists are trying to make the best of the spartan conditions.

We also previously mentioned something far worse… they're killing thousands of stray dogs to clean up the city, making way for the Winter Games.

The government wants the dogs gone before tomorrow's Olympic opening ceremony!

So rescuers are rushing to get as many strays off the streets as possible.

Thankfully, their rescue organization is backed by a Russian billionaire. One of the rescuers, obviously upset at the government, said:

"We were told, 'Either you take all the dogs from the Olympic Village or we will shoot them.' On Monday we were told we have until Thursday."

They've got about 80 dogs so far and have moved them to a make-shift shelter, set up outside the city.

We really hope they're able to get these dogs off the streets in time! Save the strays!!

Funny thing is the Olympic visitors would enjoy petting and sneaking a bit of food to a wandering dog as long as they weren't running in semi-predatory packs. Sort of like nature's mascots.

Thank goodness there is some help for these poor animals. I am praying they get them to a safe location.

I am praying too that these innocent animals are helped. I think the Olympic visitors would enjoy petting and sneaking them food too. Who knows, some kind folks might hear of their plight and actually adopt them if possible.
