Fire crews at Langwarrin in Melbourne, Australia got to save a tiny life recently.
Here's the story:
A koala was hit by a car and took refuge in a tree.
When they went to rescue the little critter...
Thankfully, a Russian billionaire is doing what he can to set up shelters and help more strays be saved from certain death.
Oh and he gave locals a bad ass dog rescue golf cart!
So, if you're visiting Sochi for the games and you have a heart… adopt a freakin' dog!!
There are shelters set up in the mountains outside the city, and now in the city, with dozens and dozens of dogs waiting to be rescued.
Then, consult with a local Russian vet. After that, contact the airline you'll be flying home on to work out how you can safely travel with your new best friend back home!
The HSI has a whole bunch of great resources (HERE) for shelters to adopt from, airline policies on pets and even local Russian vets to take your new pup to!
So… are you in Sochi?? Then what are you doing?! Get out there and save as many dogs as you can carry! The love and gratitude you'll receive from your rescue pet will be worth it, we guarantee it.
