Tigers are beautiful, majestic creatures. And they're best kept far, far away from human beings.
That's why the residents of an exclusive Malibu neighborhood are outraged that trainers Irena Hauser and Sophia Kryszek are planning on keeping several white Siberian tigers in a facility on their property.
The proposed facility would have an eight-foot-high fence and an exercise yard.
There would apparently be an armed staff member watching the pen at all times, but that doesn't seem to be quelling their neighbors' fears.
The thing is, the tigers are film animals, so they'll be taken by car to and from the location up to 60 times a year.
Residents are terrified, should there be an escape, there are families nearby, with one neighbor saying:
"We calculated it – a tiger would be at our house within 20 seconds, if it were to get out of the perimeter cage."
Wow… that's not a lot of advance warning. Especially when a man-eating, big cat is involved.
We hate the fact that tigers are being kept in captivity at all!
Plus, the fact that families' lives might be in danger makes this just that much more unacceptable!
