When a Florida sheriff's deputy spotted an elderly bull fallen on its side in a river, she immediately sprung into action.
Deputy Christina Ammons dove into alligator infested water and held the bull's head above the surface until help arrived.
Thank goodness she sprung into action! Upon seeing the distressed creature, she immediately took off her gun belt and gear then jumped right in. Another deputy stood at the edge of the alligator infested water, rifle at the ready should any gators try and make a move.
Luckily, no gators came.
Eventually other armed deputies came to guard the water as fire fighters harnessed the bull and winched it back onto land.
The bull struggled to get back into the water (was it suicidal??) but eventually deputies got it onto dry land.
No one, not even the bull, was injured during the rescue. Thirty minutes later, the bull was up and walking around!
So glad it all worked out!
