Adam Walker, a British long-distance swimmer, is fighting for a great cause.
He's swimming to raise money for the nonprofit Whale and Dolphin Conservation. Adam is doing the Ocean's Seven, a global challenge made of seven long-distance swims.
While on the Cook Strait swim, a 16-mile journey across open water in New Zealand, he spotted something pretty alarming: a great white shark beneath him!
That's pretty much the last thing any swimmer wants to see below them regardless of the situation.
Before anything bad happened, or evasive maneuvers were needed, a pod of dolphins came to the rescue!!
The 10 dolphins surrounded him and stayed with him until the shark swam away. That's so incredible!
The best part about all of this??
It was caught on video!
Check out the vid (below) and see for yourself how amazing nature can truly be!
