These vampires just upped their budding relationship by 1,000 lbs…

Because Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed bought a beautiful horse together this weekend!!

The couple that came out publicly during a series of sweaty runs last month, decided to share their HUGE news on Instagram Sunday, with Ian posting the (above) photo, and captioning it:

"Proud new dad… What amazing creatures they are. Wow. His name is Eagle. Thank you @iamnikkireed for snapping this special moment, with our big baby boy."

We just KNEW these two would ride off into the sunset together — and now they have the animal power to do it!

One happy horsey family!

Didn't Nikki Reed just get divorced 2 months ago? And she's already deep enough into a relationship to take on such a responsibility of co-owning a horse with her freshly new boyfriend? Don't know if that's in the best interest of the horse.

Re: Lulu – I'm certain Ian will make sure the horse is well looked after. I wonder where and why all the snarky comments come from on these entertainment sites? I don't think the TVD fandom has worked out yet that they can't hate tweet/comment someone to get a script changed in real life.
