The world lost an amazing human being Thursday when Roger Ebertpassed away, and whether or not you agreed or even liked his signature style of film critique, he was undeniably a larger than life, kind human being who inspired many throughout his lifetime.
Roger's partner-in-critique, Richard Roeper, appeared on Anderson 360 Thursday evening to talk to Anderson Cooper about his late friend, stating that the native Chicagoan had an "everyman quality."

Conrad Murray spoke out for the first time since being thrown in jail for Michael Jackson's death, and lets just say he had some very interesting things on his mind.
The former doctor continued to argue his innocence in an exclusive interview with Anderson Cooper, saying he was actually very close with the King of Pop before he died:
For the past couple of weeks it feels like it's been Matt Lauer vs. The World. But apparently there's at least one person out there willing to stick up for him!
The Today show's executive producer Don Nash rushed to the aid of the highly scrutinized anchor and said the show would suffer without him.
Matt has been under heavy fire recently for multiple incidents, including a controversial interview that featured sound bytes from Jerry Sandusky, and some are even putting the blame on him for the Today show's drop in ratings.
But Don is hoping to clear the air and says he has no plan on getting rid of Matt. In fact, he says everybody LOVES him:
According to Deadline, the two filmed an hour long pilot today at CNN studios in New York’s Time Warner Center in front of a live audience. Apparently, CNN president Jeff Zucker was in attendance, too!
Though the details are unclear, it seems Jeff, in an attempt to change things up for the news network, might be hoping to rake in some ratings with the usually well-received Kathy and Anderson.

Matt Lauer just can't seem to catch a break lately!
The anchor was already under heavy scrutiny for the firing of Ann Curry and the Today show's plummeting ratings, and we're guessing his highly controversial interview with filmmaker John Ziergler concerning Jerry Sandusky isn't helping him win any popularity contests!
But it sounds like some good might come out of this ugly mess, as we're hearing NBC is reaching out to Anderson Cooper to replace Matt!
A source close to the situation claims that the deal could be coming fairly soon, saying:
We agree! We don't really see Amanda Knox going back to Italy, even with an extradition order.
Amanda was acquitted of the 2007 stabbing murder in October 2011 and just recently started having a normal life again in Seattle — she was moving on and even got a new boyfriend. It's so strange that this is surfacing yet again, but on the other hand our legal system here works differently than the one in Italy. It might not make sense to us like it does to them or something!
