Just in case you didn't already know, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin get along really well, despite their divorce.
On Wednesday, the blonde beauty sat down with BBC's Hardtalk in Cannes, and opened up about her split from the Coldplay frontman.
The gorgeous gal had no idea the media would have a frenzy when they announced their big breakup, saying:
"It was a difficult time in our lives. We didn't know that the 'conscious uncoupling' phrase was going to inspire so much conversation."
But eventually, that conversation changed course, and people began applauding the actress instead of picking apart her failed marriage. She explained:
"At the time people said, these people are crazy and it's true, but over time now I hear people saying thank you for showing there is another way."
Plus, the lovely lady stressed she and the musician don't need to be married in order to be a family, adding:
"You can remain a family even though you are not a couple and make it a less traumatic experience for the children. It wasn't my phrase, but I'm very proud of it."
