Liam Hemsworth Proves He's No Will Smith As Independence Day: Resurgence BOMBS — See More Of The Worst Sequels Of All Time HERE!

An Independence Day sequel without Will Smith sounds a lot like apple pie without apples!

For some reason, director Roland Emmerich decided to move forward with a sequel to his 1996 hit alien invasion film with Independence Day: Resurgence without its biggest star.

Sure, killing off Smith's character and then replacing him with the lesser Hemsworth Liam Hemsworth wasn't the strongest choice, but it could still be fun, right?

Sadly, Resurgence was not well received by critics OR fans; it's currently sitting at a 34% positive on RottenTomatoes and fell far short at the box office with only $41.6 million on a reported $165 mil budget. Ouch.

The good news for Liam is, he's not the only person to make a TERRIBLE sequel — the bad news for Jeff Goldblum is it's not his first…

Muhammad Ali

Today Muhammad Ali is laid to rest.

After a nearly 20-mile long procession through the late boxer's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky — the family and mourners alike gathered in the KFC Yum! Center to honor the life and legacy of the athlete.

As you know, Ali passed away last Friday at the age of 74 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

Thousands of fans lined the streets as the procession took the coffin past Ali's childhood home, the Ali Center, the Center for African American Heritage, and then finally down Muhammad Ali Boulevard.

Will Smith and ex-boxers Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis were honored with being pallbearers for the service. Tyson decided last minute to attend the funeral after concerns he would be "too emotional." So sad.

Following the ceremony, the family - including Ali's nine children, wife, and two ex-wives — will gather for a private burial at Cave Hill cemetery.

What a powerful day, and even more important, a powerful legacy.

While he promised not to get "silly," the 47-year-old did get a little frisky when recalling making babiesWillow Smith, 15, and Jaden Smith, 17 — with his bride:

"I'm not gonna be silly. I'm here to honor you. Just watching the piece with the kids it just takes me back to when we made them. Can't help but think about that. It's just amazing. It's like you take Jada Pinkett Smith and an obscure town in Mexico and some tequila and you end up with great kids!"
