Kristin Chenoweth is a wonderful woman who has her own animal charity called Maddie's Corner, named for her dog Maddie.
She's a caring, compassionate person and also an Oklahoma native, so she's doing whatever she can to help those affected by the recent devastating tornado.
She is selling "Lending A Helping Paw" t-shirts through her charity at $25 a pop to try and raise money to help pets in need of medical attention since the tornado hit.
Not only is bear bile farming totally disgusting, but it's extremely torturous to the bears!
Apparently a company called Guizhentang Pharmaceutical does NOT agree, as they've been using the bile in traditional remedies claimed to "shrink gallstones, reduce fevers and sooth the aftereffects of excessive drinking." You're just hearing about it now because the company stock went public, and wanted to use the IPO money to increase its stock of captive bears from 400 up to 1,200.
A happy ending to an initially heart breaking story!
A homeless man's dog was taken from him in the middle of the night in Hudson, Florida. The dog was a gift from the man's late wife who succumbed to cancer in 2011. She literally gave the dog to her husband so he would remember her.
After the heartbreaking story of the dog robbery grew some legs, friends of the homeless man, who's name is Bryan, helped set up a Facebook page to track Bryan's dog Handover down!
They even raised $1,000 for the reward money! And it totally worked!
