Her super infectious I Kissed A Girl has dethroned Coldplay‘s Viva La Vida at the top of the U.S. singles chart, according to Billboard.
The song has already been #1 in Canada and will likely follow suit in other countries when it’s released in Europe in late summer/early fall.
Industry experts tell us that Katy should hold on to the top spot for a bit too, as I Kissed A Girl continues to sell well and is getting MASSIVE airplay.
Perry’s debut album, One Of The Boys, has also debuted on the Top 10 of the Billboard charts this week, coming in at #9.
