This is so sad.
It turns out that musician/producer Butch Walker was living in the Malibu house owned by Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea that burned down this past weekend, sources reveal to PerezHilton.com.
“Butch lost everything,” a friend of the rock star’s tells us. “He had been renting Flea’s house for a while and was in the process of buying it. The house was completely burned down.”
Especially devastating for Walker, who had a home studio, was losing the masters to every song he ever recorded. Computers, equipment, instruments, song lyrics, everything. Gone.
Friends of Butch’s are rallying together to help get him essentials, like clothes for his baby, and are hoping that those in the position to help will.
Got an extra guitar? There’s someone who could really use one!
