From hunting for her drug-dealing father as Ree in Winter’s Bone, to kicking-mutant butt as Mystique in X-Men: First Class, Jennifer Lawrence has had her fair share of tough roles.
Her toughest to date may be her newest role in Hunger Games as Katniss, a young woman who must enter a deadly youth tournament in order to save her community in a dystopian future.
To get her body into fighting shape for the upcoming sci-fi thriller, she ditched the gym in favor of what sounds like a killer routine.
In a recent interview, she gave some insight into the training process for the role, explaining:
“It’s lots of training, but the training’s actually really fun. I’ve done archery for about six weeks, and rock climbing, tree climbing├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and combat, running and vaulting. But also yoga and things like that, to stay catlike!”
Beats the treadmill! We can’t wait to see all of her “catlike” skills when Hunger Games, which is filming now, comes out!
