Bad Snacks, You’re Out! Almonds, You’re In!

Let’s hear it for almonds!!

New studies are confirming what we’ve known for a while now — dieters who want to snack should be reaching for the almonds!

Not only are they healthy, but substituting almonds for less healthy foods could help dieters stick to a calorie-controlled diet!

Plus, it may lower your cholesterol!!

Here’s what one of the researches said:

“Nuts, and in this case almonds, shouldn’t be on the ├óΓé¼╦£do not eat’ list, they can be effectively incorporated in a weight loss plan, with the caveat that they have to be portion controlled.”

In the study, they took a bunch of people and put them on a calorie regiment, then told some they could eat extra almonds and some that they couldn’t.

After a year, nobody could tell who was losing more weight — the extra calories from almonds almost didn’t matter.

They thing the COULD tell was that the almond group’s cholesterol had fallen!

The researcher continued:

“This shows you can include almonds in the context of a weight control program, lose a significant amount of weight and get nice additional benefits in terms of cholesterol and triglycerides.”


In the end, it’s a good thing the little buggers taste good — otherwise this would be a stupid statistic.
