Melissa McCarthy is a HIGHlarious lady who’s recently seen a lot of success as an actress.
She has an Emmy and was even nominated for an Oscar.
But that doesn’t mean she still isn’t self-conscious.
“Sometimes I wish I were just magically a size six and I never had to give [my weight] a single thought. But I am weirdly healthy, so I don├óΓé¼Γäót beat myself up about it ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ it wouldn├óΓé¼Γäót help, and I don├óΓé¼Γäót want to pass that on to my girls.”
Melissa even plays tennis, does pilates and eats really healthy!
Sometimes a person just can’t help their weight.
“I don├óΓé¼Γäót really know why I├óΓé¼Γäóm not thinner than I am. I don├óΓé¼Γäót really drink soda; I don├óΓé¼Γäót have a sweet tooth, and we eat healthfully at home.”
She’s learned to be happy with who she is.
Melissa is even designing a plus-sized range of clothing.
She talked about how she doesn’t actually know of anyone who is totally happy with their weight, saying:
“Pretty much everyone I know, no matter what size, is trying some system. Even when someone gets to looking like she should be so proud of herself, instead she├óΓé¼Γäós like, ‘I could be another three pounds less; I could be a little taller and have bigger lips.’ Where does it end? You just have to say, ‘It├óΓé¼Γäós pretty damn good. I am right here at the moment and I├óΓé¼Γäóm OK with it. I├óΓé¼Γäóve got other things to think about.'”
What a great outlook!
If you just decided to be happy with yourself and look at things more positively then you might just find your insecurities melt away.
