RECALL! Taco Bell And KFC Have E. Coli Outbreak In Canada!

At KFC and Taco Bell locations in Canada, officials are recalling romaine and iceberg lettuce due to a possible E. coli contamination!

The locations affected are in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.

They don’t believe the lettuce is still out there because of its short shelf life and no one else has reported getting sick.

Nova Scotia’s deputy chief medical officer of health said:

“Lettuce has a limited shelf life, and we have not seen a new case in more than a week. This tells us it is highly unlikely the food item remains in the food chain. As an added precaution, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is issuing a recall of the lettuce products.”

There are 26 people who are suspected to have gotten sick due to the contamination, mainly falling ill between late December and early January.

The officials in Canada have stressed it’s not KFC or Taco Bell’s fault, but the supplier, Fresh Point, who is to blame.

Hopefully they can pinpoint where this all started and find out why so it can be stopped before it happens again!
