Pizza Hut Apologizes To Fired Thanksgiving-Loving, Katniss-Like Manager With Rehire Offer!

pizza hut got their unworthy act together for tony rohr

What a weekend deal!

The internet masses were horrified to learn that Tony Rohr, a 28-year-old Pizza Hut manager in Elkhart, Indiana, was forced to leave his tenure at the company over his refusal to keep the ovens on for Thanksgiving.

As we previously reported, Rohr was appalled at the thought of his employees working on such a beloved holiday and totally Katniss-ed the big-wigs, but it cost him his job!

Fortunately for the 99 percent, there’s still hope as the stuffed crust making company officially apologized for the grave mistake and offered Rohr his job back.

In a statement via Facebook, Pizza Hut said:

“Update on Elkhart, IN: we feel strongly that the situation involving our independent franchisee and the local store manager could and should have been avoided. We fully respect an employee├óΓé¼Γäós right to not work on a holiday, which is why the vast majority of Pizza Huts in America are closed on Thanksgiving. As a result, we strongly recommended that the local franchisee reinstate the store manager and they have agreed. We look forward to them welcoming Tony back to the team.”

Ha! Take that, greedy McGreedersons!!

The power of the people have spoken — all over the internet — and they won.

As for Rohr, he’s understandably unsure as to whether or not he’ll accept their offer, saying:

“That’s something I can’t decide right away. I’ll start looking into stuff tomorrow.”

Mmm… stuffed crust.. oh, huh? Sorry.

ANYWAYS — we applaud you, Mr. Rohr! We all wanna see the economy back in shape, but we definitely don’t want it at the cost of SOULS.

Besides, it’s one freakin’ day!
