Girl Scout Cookies Get Updated With Brand New Gluten-Free Edition!

This is great news for those out there with Celiac’s disease and actual gluten intolerance!

Otherwise, people should probz just stick to the regular cookies, because gluten-free doesn’t actually help you lose weight and isn’t really healthier — like we keep saying. Besides, a cookie is a cookie! This isn’t just some free pass for your diet!

The Girl Scouts are going gluten-free… for one variety at least!

You’re in luck: the gluten-free cookie isn’t the classic Thin Mint or Samoa. It’s actually a BRAND NEW variety!

Say hello to the certified gluten-free Chocolate Chip Shortbread! It’s made with rice and tapioca flours, cornstarch and potato starch, real butter, and real chocolate chips. It uses pure cane sugar and NO artificial flavors or colors, corn syrup, or hydrogenated oils!

If you look at it from a processed point of view, it DOES seem to be better for you in that department… and then you realize it’s still chock-full of sugar, regardless if it’s pure cane (and don’t forget about the butter, real or not). They probably even put MORE in it to offset the gluten-free taste!

At first, it will only available in 20 test markets. They’ll launch more if you cookie fiends like it!

That’s not the only new cookie either! They’re also launching a new Cranberry Citrus Crisp cookie, which sounds f***ing delicious!
