March 21st is a very important day!
That’s because it is World Down Syndrome Day, and new ad titled Dear Future Mom has been released in preparation for it.
The advertisement video features children and adults living with Down Syndrome talking to the future generation with the condition, and it’s pretty moving!
Italian company Saatchi & Saatchi Italy developed the campaign for CoorDown after one expecting mother asked what she could expect from her future child with Down Syndrome.
Here’s the agency’s explanation for the video:
“The chosen theme for World Down Syndrome Day this year is the right to happiness and well-being of people with Down syndrome. The goal is to promote a culture of diversity and true integration into society, especially in the worlds of school and work.”
Just because a child or adult has Down Syndrome, that doesn’t mean they can’t be contributing members to society.
