Be careful what you tweet, boys and girls!
One Dutch teenager has learned the hard way that what you say on Twitter could get you thrown in jail! Seriously!
A user who went by @QueenDemetriax_ sent this threatening message to American Airlines’s handle:
In case you’d forgotten, two of the flights used in the September 11th terrorist attacks were American Airlines planes. So… they take stuff like this seriously.
Not only did the airline company alert authorities, they sent QueenDemetriax_ a tweet back alerting her of just how much trouble she was about to be in!
That tweet soon went viral and the company decided to take it down. Plus, we’re pretty sure they didn’t have access to her IP information, as that can only be retrieved through Twitter from a law enforcement agency request.
As for QueenDemetriax_, she started pleading with American not to press any charges!
Ch-ch-check out her multiple tweets that she sent trying to convince the corporation that she wasn’t a terrorist but rather just some stupid kid!
@AmericanAir omfg I was kidding
@AmericanAir I’m so sorry I’m scared now
@AmericanAir I was joking and it was my friend not me, take her IP address not mine
I’m f*cking 14 years old, do they think I’m gonna blow up a plane or something. I’m just stupid okay
But then, her remorse turned to excitement when she saw just how many followers she was gaining because of all this! She tweeted out:
Omg I got over 10k rts for that tweet omg
I feel famous omg
Okay today was the highlight of my twitter days
Over 20k followers yay
So much for learning her lesson! Silly, silly girl.
Well, it sounds like justice has been served though. Dutch police reportedly tracked this unknown teen down in Rotterdam and arrested her! It’s unclear still what charges, if any, she’ll face.
But the punishment may have already begun for this online troublemaker – her Twitter account has since been deleted.
We don’t think anyone will miss hearing what she has to say.
