This weekend, a disturbing audio recording of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling going on a racist rant was leaked, revealing he did NOT want his girlfriend bringing black people to games!
Well just before their playoff game against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, the players decided to take a stand and show they did not approve of their owner’s vile comments!
Right before warmups, the Clippers gathered at center court to take of their normal warmup jerseys and threw them on the ground!
The players went on to do their shoot around, but they wore their shirts inside out so the Clippers logo was NOT displayed on their chest!
Once the game started, the players on the court wore their regular jerseys with the logo displayed, however, their pregame act shows that like many others around the league, they were NOT happy with Donald’s comments!
Whether you’re a fan of the Clippers or not, it’s great to see the players taking a stand, and it will be interesting to see what they do at their next game as they return to their home crowd at Staples Center!
