Ariana Grande’s Show Is Over! Nickelodeon Cancels Ratings Hit Sam & Cat After Only One Season!

nickelodeons sam and cat to end run after one season

Oh no!

This is SO sad although it isn’t entirely surprising.

Nickelodeon has officially canceled Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande’s show Sam & Cat after it was put on a “permanent hiatus” back in April.

In fact, the network has already began airing promos for the very last show — which is being called the series finale — titled #Getting Wiggy.

Here’s what the network said in a statement:

“Nickelodeon will not be producing more episodes of Sam & Cat. We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best.”

The network├óΓé¼Γäós biggest stars and best friends, Jennette and Ariana, were the two leads of creator Dan Schneider├óΓé¼Γäós hit show, which isn’t even done with its first season yet, but drama behind the scenes are believed to have led to this show├óΓé¼Γäós downfall.

Whether it was Jennette feeling dissed about her salary, her leaked photos, or the grueling work schedule this show had – we’re not sure what was the final nail!

Although since Jennette has been a part of Nickelodeon for 7 years and Ariana has been there for more than four years — maybe everyone agreed that it was just time to move on!

We’re sad to see the great show go, but these stars’ happiness is the most important thing in the long run!

And now it’s on to the next thing for everyone involved in this one and done show!
