This story is even sadder than the first ten minutes of Up.
An English couple’s 65-year long love story ended as the two died within just 10 minutes of each other.
Harry Stevenson and Mavis Stevenson were living in St. Werburgh’s House Care Home in Derby because Mavis had gotten sick, and the two couldn’t endure being apart any more.
Well, when 89-year-old Mavis died on November 3rd, no one expected 88-year-old, Harry who had been in good health, to die just minutes later.
After Harry and Mavis met at the Asterdale social club, Harry served in the Royal Marines in World War II, stormed the beaches at Normandy, and even battled the Japanese in the Pacific theater of war.
When he returned from war, Harry and Mavis married, and spent as much time together as they could.
Apparently, when nurses told Harry that Mavis had died, they left the room only to find him dead minutes later.
Talk about soulmates.
