Someone is stunning crowds!
Bradley Cooper is super hot and talented on the silver screen, but it turns out he was built for Broadway too!
The 39-year-old actor has been dazzling the audience of his new play The Elephant Man, and he’s wowed the critics!
The Elephant Man officially opened on Sunday night, and Coop was especially in the spotlight since he was following up Mark Hamill, David Bowie, and Billy Crudup in his Joseph Merrick character.
And Cooper is killing it! In a great way!
Entertainment Weekly, while they rated the play a B, said Bradley “owns this production,” and Variety said, “It’s a stunning performance├óΓé¼┬ª Deeply felt and very moving.
Deadline even said Cooper was “the best Merrick yet.” And The New York Times went even further, writing:
“The first star of his stature to take on the part [of Merrick] in our post-Warhol world of celebrity obsession├óΓé¼┬ª He brings to this production the weight of years of being stared at as an adult. He is, as he should be, the elephant in the room.”
Yasss! This sounds fantastic! We’re so happy that the Broadway gamble has worked out for Bradley, and who knows, maybe there will be even more plays in his future!
Ch-ch-check out his dapper look at the post-show party (above) too!
