David Letterman Says Goodbye To Darlene Love And Her Incredible Recurring Holiday Performances!

no title

This tribute to the musician who has been appearing on the Late Show under David Letterman‘s watch for almost thirty years is SO heartwarming!

That person is singer Darlene Love and her awesome song Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) which she has sang once a year on the late night show since 1986!!!

And after this year — it’ll be her last time EVER performing for the show (unless Colbert keeps her)!

That is what the star behind the award winning documentary 20 Feet From Stardom recently proclaimed!

She also said:

“This would be my 28th year in a row. They never told me not to, but it was an unspoken thing. They couldn’t ask me not to sing ‘Christmas (Baby)’ on another show, but after 10 years, then 15 years, of doing this one song on this one show, I felt I had an obligation to be true to them.”

Aww! We admire her loyalty!
