As we reported back in June, U.S. Olympic soccer star Hope Solo was charged with domestic violence after she allegedly assaulted her half-sister and nephew while intoxicated at her home in Seattle, WA.
Today, a judge has dismissed all charges against the 33-year-old.
The decision was greatly motivated by the lack of cooperation from the athlete’s half-sister and son, who were the case’s most prominent witnesses.
According to the goalkeeper’s attorney, Todd Maybrown:
“This has been a terrible ordeal for Ms. Stevens, but we’re grateful the court has dismissed the charges├óΓé¼┬ª If the case had been reviewed carefully at the outset, no charges would have been filed.”
With these allegations now cleared up, the Dancing With The Stars alum can resume playing for the United States women’s national team.
Solo is currently training in Carson, CA and was not in court for the hearing.
