FOX has a hit on its hands!

The new hip-hop drama Empire may have only aired two episodes so far, but it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

That’s because the Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard series was just renewed for a second season on Saturday!

The news doesn’t come as a total shock, considering the premiere was a huge success with a staggering 9.9 million viewers.

But that’s not all… the second episode did even better with 10.3 million tuning in!

In addition to Empire, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Gotham were also given third and second seasons, respectively.

We’re not surprised people are liking the show, though. Lee Daniels did create it after all!

FOX hasn’t had a show debut as strong as Empire in three years, so we can’t wait to see what Cookie and Co. get up to in 2016!
