We seriously cannot wait until Wednesday!

If you haven’t caught on by now, Empire is far-and-away the best new show of 2015. But as if you needed any more convincing, Courtney Love is about to join the FOX drama!

The singer actress is set to start her recurring role on the Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard vehicle this Wednesday, and we’re hearing that the part is all about Whitney Houston!

Apparently, the 50-year-old singer choose Whitney as her inspiration for the role, saying:

“The idea is that she’s lost her voice. Lee Daniels is kind of paying tribute to Whitney in a way, and he wanted somebody that symbolized it initially ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ somebody who had this fantastical voice and lost it. I’ve never had a fantastical voice. I have a very definitive rock tone to my voice.”

Don’t sell yourself short, Courtney!
