This Bride Does NOT Mince Words Telling Off Parents In Crazy Wedding Anti-Invite!

Way to stick it to ’em!

A lady named Alyssa Pearce from Adelaide, Australia has become a bit of an Internet celebrity after she shared a wedding invitation that she sent to her estranged parents last year.

Or maybe a more accurate description is a non-invitation to her wedding — since she basically told her birth parents to eff off by the end of the missive (above)!

Alyssa went into further detail about why she sent such a scathing letter to her parents on Reddit, writing:

“So my narcissistic parents abused me for 16 years before I ran away from home. Now they’re trying to bully their way (via family, they haven’t bothered to speak to me personally) into getting an invitation to my wedding. There was really only one way to respond.”

Well, that’s definitely one creative way to tell them off!

It seems like Alyssa didn’t regret one word of the un-vitation; she had her ceremony without her parents’ presence and still doesn’t communicate with them.

And while she admits that her note resulted in a lot more bickering within her family — and even caused her grandfather to back out of walking her down the aisle — this lady does NOT seem to care one bit. She wrote in the Reddit thread at the time:

“The aisle is only wide enough for one awesome person, so I’ll be walking myself down :P”

That’s so true! The only person whose happiness matters on a wedding day is the person getting married!

And it seems like she was VERY happy on her special day! We just hope she doesn’t regret it down the road!
