Joan Rivers Got Snubbed From The Oscars In Memoriam Segment… And The Academy Wants To Let You Know Why

Joan is probably turning in her grave!

As everyone who follows entertainment knows, The Oscars were presented on Sunday!

And while people like Neil Patrick Harris, Anna Kendrick, and Eddie Redmayne had amazing nights, one funny lady in particular didn’t have the best time.

That’s because during the award show’s annual ‘In Memoriam’ segment, Joan Rivers was suspiciously snubbed from being honored.

After the glaring misdeed, people on Twitter simply weren’t having it, and The Academy has already issued a statement, saying:

“Joan Rivers is among the many worthy artists and filmmakers we were unfortunately unable to feature in the In Memoriam segment of this year’s Oscar show. She is, however, included in our In Memoriam gallery on”

That’s sounds like a pretty fair justification, we have to say.

Joan was known for blasting people on the red carpet, but it’s not like she was famous for her work in film.

Plus, they can’t include literally every single person who had ever worked in the industry and died in the past year in the video, it’s only about four minutes long.

That would leave practically no time for Jennifer Hudson to sing her heart out!

While we get why people were pissed, we think Joan’s exclusion from The Grammys remembrance section was actually a much crueler crime.
