A pair of parents from Grimsby, England are making the whole world go “awwww” after what they did for their daughter.
Tanya and Adam Phillips were seriously concerned about their daughter Honey-Rae, who has an unusual birthmark that covers almost half of her right side.
The parents were concerned with how their daughter would feel about the mark. They didn’t want her to grow up self-conscious about being different.
So the parents got active about dealing with their concerns, and they decided to BOTH get tattoos that duplicated their daughter’s birthmark!
Although the enormous tattoo was extremely painful, Tanya is SO happy that she got the ink. She said in an interview:
“It was incredibly painful, especially as I had a flower to cover some old star tattoos, but it was worth every second of the pain. When the swelling went down, I showed Honey-Rae, and she gently touched it and smiled as she said ├óΓé¼╦£Match,’ pointing to her own leg.”
Aww! That’s so sweet!
The couple decided to get the tattoos after they noticed a couple of adults whispering about their daughter when they were out one day. Adam said:
“And I knew if adults could be that insensitive, then kids at school would also be unintentionally mean.”
That’s sad but true, and we LOVE how these parents decided to start increasing their little girl’s confidence, rather than banking on other people to not be mean to their baby.
These parents really went the extra mile to make sure their daughter did NOT feel like an outcast, and we’re loving the way they made her feel their love!
