Motherhood is one of the most beautiful events a woman could experience.
But what if it doesn’t happen?
This was the exact struggle Bachelorette star Trista Sutter faced — and now she’s opening up about her baby woes in her new book Happily Ever After: The Life Changing Power of a Grateful Heart.
In the memoir, the reality TV star reveals how she was unable to conceive for two whole years.
“I talk about in the book how we struggled with infertility for almost two years. I always wanted to be a mom, it was always my dream and although I wanted to be a career person for a very long time, overplaying that at all times was to become a mother.”
When Trista and husband Ryan Sutter, who met on the show, struggled with having a child, it really questioned the 42-year-old’s faith:
“When you get married you believe, ├óΓé¼╦£Okay, the next natural thing is to have babies.’ When that doesn’t happen you start to question your relationship, you start to question yourself, even God. It’s a very difficult thing to not be able to do anything about making a dream of yours come true and questioning whether something is wrong with you├óΓé¼┬ª So that was definitely a dark time in my life.”
However, she ended up getting pregnant, not once but twice! The couple had their son Max in 2007 and daughter Blakesley in 2009! Dreams do come true!
We’re so happy that Trista and Ryan got the family they deserved!
