Startling Images Of Harrison Ford Moments After His Plane Crash Have Been Released

As we reported last week, Harrison Ford was flying a 1942 Ryan Aeronautical ST3KR aircraft when he experienced engine failure and was forced to crash-land on Penmar Golf Course in Venice, CA.

On Monday, images of the 72-year-old moments after the crash have been released, which depict the chaotic and gruesome nature of the scene.

The photo (below) shows paramedics wrapping up the Star Wars actor’s head with bandages as he received several cuts from the incident. Just a warning — this may not be suitable for everyone:

As you can see, Ford — who suffered a broken pelvis and whose neck had to be firmly strapped to a brace — was bleeding profusely from the impact.

He was later transported to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center where is currently receiving treatment.

Over the past couple of days, the Oscar nominee was visited by close friends and family, including his wife Calista Flockheart.

Experts believe the crash may be due to the plane’s old age. However, an investigation is currently being held and no official word has been released.

Ford is expected to make a full recovery.
