Kendrick Lamar Finally Reveals His New Album Cover And Title!

no title

Kendrick Lamar‘s new album — featuring the hot new track The Blacker The Berry — will be drop on March 23rd, so the rapper finally used his Instagram to reveal the cover!

The title To Pimp A Butterfly seems to be a play on the title of Harper Lee‘s novel To Kill A Mockingbird, the 1960 classic about racial tension and injustice in America.

Based on the cover art, that definitely seems to be the focus for Kendrick as well.

The rapper wrote:

“‘Don’t all dogs go to heaven? Don’t Gangsta’s boogie? Do owl shit stank? Lions, Tigers & Bears. But TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. Its the American dream ni**a….’ – lil Homie.”

The cover may warn of explicit content on the record, but we’re guessing the photo itself may stir up some controversy!

What do U think of the cover for To Pimp A Butterfly?
