Jazz Jennings has landed a docuseries on TLC that will be called All That Jazz and will explore the life of the 14 year old transgender activist.
The first series order will be for eleven episodes and will star Jennings, who has been called “The New Face of Transgender Youth,” as she enters high school, makes friends, and navigates the world that is around for a transgender teen.
Did we mention Jazz is only 14? Incredible!
Here’s what TLC GM Nancy Daniels said:
“Jazz’s story is universal, yet unique, and we’re proud to partner with her family to share it with TLC’s audience. Jazz may be known as an author and activist, but she’s first and foremost a teenage girl with a big, brave heart, living a remarkable life.”
And here’s what the group president of TLC Marjorie Kaplan said:
“We know that families come in all shapes and sizes, but at their core, they are all about love, acceptance, and support. Only TLC can tell this family’s story in way that celebrates and demystifies difference in an effort to help create a world without prejudice.”
The series is set to premiere in the summer, and we can’t wait to see what this amazing inspiration has up her sleeve!
Such an amazing achievement for a teenager, and the journey for Jazz is just beginning!
