Ashley Judd will NOT tolerate gender violence!
On Tuesday, the actress made a vow to press charges against people who threatened her in violent and disgusting ways over a remark she made on Twitter.
After the Divergent star made a harmless comment about Kentucky’s Southeastern Conference championship game, a ton of users sent Judd despicable threats, mainly centered around her gender.
Now Ashley is taking matters into her own hands by seeking prosecution against the users — even if she knows nothing will probably come of her actions.
The 46-year-old explained:
“I’m pressing charges. The amount of gender violence that I experience is absolutely extraordinary. And a significant part of my day today will be spent filing police reports at home about gender violence that’s directed at me in social media.”
So horrifying. At least the actress is choosing to handle it in a productive way.
In response to a troll who called out Judd for prosecuting the offending users, she tweeted:
We agree! Even insinuated violence should never be tolerated!
