Terrence Howard Thinks That They Should Use The N-Word On Empire, But Taraji P. Henson Disagrees

Talk about controversy!

Terrence Howard is all about authenticity, so when it comes to the smash hit Empire, he wants to throw political correctness out of the window! During an interview in February, he said:

“If we start getting silly, if we start playing to people’s fancies, then we don’t deserve to be where we are. It’s a big pressure because I want to be a truth-sayer. I want to raise the bar. I want to get rid of this f├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ed up word called PC. I think it’s a gate for bigotry because as long as you’re politically correct you can say anything you want but feel some way different├óΓé¼┬ª I’m mad that we don’t say n├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥- in the show,” he admits. “Why is TV showing something different from the reality of the world? Why is there a thing called censorship that stop people from hearing everyday talk? We use n├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥-every day. It’s become part of a conversation├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥why aren’t we using it in the show?”

Whoa! Well, it seems like Terrance is the only person that feels that way because not only has white writer David Rambo said he won’t use the controversial word, but co-star Taraji P. Henson is against the use for the sake of authenticity as well She said:

“No, you would piss people off.”

That’s probably true because not everyone uses that word. Just because Terrence thinks his character would use it, or because he personally uses it, doesn’t mean the world uses it.

Would you be upset if some N-bombs were dropped?
