We’re glad this unfortunate case was settled.

On March 25, Mark Salling was ordered to pay his former girlfriend, Roxanne Gorzela, $2.7 million in damages for a sexual assault and battery incident which occurred in 2011.

The terrible situation first occurred when Mark allegedly forced Roxanne to engage in sex without a condom. When the DJ confronted Salling about the issue, the Glee star reportedly threw his girlfriend to the ground causing injuries and psychological damage.

Cut to now — Roxanne has chosen to drop the sexual battery charges in exchange for the following compensation:

Past medicals $64,155 — Future medicals $666,000 — Past non-economic damages $180,000 — Future non-economic damages (pain and suffering) $1.8 million

What’s curious about the settlement is the model will go to Mark’s insurance company, State Farm, to collect the damages opposed to the actor himself.

The 32-year-old will even get a cut of the settlement because the insurance company originally rejected Gorzela’s claim on “bad faith.”

Yeah, we know… it’s REALLY confusing.

Hopefully the pair will be able to move on from this terrible ordeal.
