The Daily Show has found its new host!
Now we have an answer in the form of Trevor Noah!
One of the biggest names in comedy that you don’t yet know, Trevor became a Daily Show contributor in December of last year.
In a statement, Jon congratulated the young comic, saying:
“I’m thrilled for the show and for Trevor. He’s a tremendous comic and talent that we’ve loved working with…. [ I ] may rejoin as a correspondent just to be a part of it!!!”
The recently announced new host himself tweeted the love back, writing:
No-one can replace Jon Stewart. But together with the amazing team at The Daily Show, we will continue to make this the best damn news show!

Trevor has been embroiled in politics his entire life. His didn’t have much of a choice; being born in South Africa to a mixed race couple during Apartheid, even his own birth was a crime!
He’s only appeared on the show three times, but he’s an interesting choice to take over Comedy Central‘s leading fake news program.
Having been all over the world and speaking multiple languages, Trevor brings a unique international perspective to the show.
He’s a fascinating and funny guy — not to mention cute — and we expect great things from him!
