It’s hard to believe, but today marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Selena Quintanilla-Perez.
The Tejano music star was just breaking into mainstream music when her life was cut tragically short at the age of 23.
Adrienne herself found fame as a member of 3LW and The Cheetah Girls, but hasn’t performed in public in nearly six years … until today.
The Real host took to the stage to perform Selena’s most famous crossover hit I Could Fall In Love. Ch-ch-check out the emotional performance below:
Afterwards, Adrienne told Selena’s sister Suzette, who was a guest, “this means so much to have you here.”
Suzette shared memories of her sister, and praised J.Lo for telling her story.
First of all, props to everybody that was part of the making of the movie. Of course, Jennifer studied so hard to try to get it as perfect as possible. It is such a hard job to do, I think, to have to mimic somebody and to have to learn how to act and be that person. I think the one thing that the movie just kind of barely touched on … she was so humble and so down to earth. She would really do anything for anybody if she possible could.
