What if we told you that a scientist was able to grow a “beef” patty in a lab that was actually edible and didn’t taste awful?

Would U try one??

Well, it’s a real thing, and it’s called ‘schmeat.’ It may sound like we just made that up but it’s a real protein, grown in a lab from stem cells.

Mark Post, a vascular biologist at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, created the mad scientist burger.

It originally cost about $385,000 to produce, but now, it could get down to about $9 per patty.

So that’s in the “gourmet” burger price range but c’mon, it’s kinda a world’s first!

They grew this meat in a lab!! So we gotta ask:
